Comparison review
The Huawei Mate X is slightly better than Huawei P40, getting a overall score of 89.4 against 86.4. The Huawei Mate X construction is way heavier and much thicker than the Huawei P40. These phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei Mate X has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei P40 has Android 10.
Huawei P40 counts with a little bit better performance than Huawei Mate X, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Huawei Mate X features a display that's very similar to the Huawei P40 one, because although the Huawei Mate X has a quite lower display density, it also counts with a lot higher 2200 x 2480 resolution and a much larger display.
The Huawei P40 takes greater videos and photos than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, it also counts with a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor taking lot better quality videos and photos and a camera in the back with more megapixels. Huawei Mate X counts with a very superior storage to install games and applications than Huawei P40, because it has 512 GB internal storage.
The Huawei Mate X counts with just a little bit longer battery performance than Huawei P40, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P40. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Huawei P40, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
