Comparison review
The Huawei P40 is slightly better than the Galaxy S5, having a general score of 86.4 against 80.8. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but Huawei P40 has the previous 10 version while Galaxy S5 has Android 4.4.2. Even though the Huawei P40 is way newer than the Galaxy S5, it's heavier and a little bit thicker.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a brighter display than Huawei P40, because although it has a bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a higher pixels quantity per display inch. Huawei P40 features a much greater storage to install games and applications than Galaxy S5, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
Huawei P40 counts with a bit faster CPU than Galaxy S5, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and they are faster) and more RAM. Huawei P40 counts with a superior battery performance than Galaxy S5, because it has a 36 percent greater battery size.
Huawei P40 has a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Huawei P40 also has a lot larger back camera sensor, better 60 frames per second video frame rate, a camera in the back with a lot better 50 MP resolution and a bigger diafragm aperture.
The Huawei P40 is not only the best phones in our comparison, but it's also a bargain compared to the other ones.
