Comparison review
Huawei P40 is much better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, having a score of 86.4 against 78.1. Both phones in this review work with Android operating system, but the Huawei P40 has an older 10 version and Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2 version. Huawei P40's body is much newer than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus's, but it is somewhat heavier and a little bit thicker.
Galaxy S5 Plus has a little more vivid display than Huawei P40, because although it has a little bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a bit greater pixel density. Huawei P40 features a superior storage capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 112 GB more internal memory capacity.
Huawei P40 features a bit better processing power than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and a greater number of faster cores. Huawei P40 features a much longer battery duration than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 3800mAh battery capacity.
The Huawei P40 features a greater camera than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Huawei P40 also has a bigger aperture for better photos in low light situations, a way bigger back camera sensor shooting lot higher quality videos and photos, a much more mega pixels back facing camera and higher 60 fps video frame rates.
Huawei P40 is not only the best phones of the ones we are comparing here, but it's also cheaper than the other phone, which makes it a simple decision.
