The Galaxy S6 has a score of 87.3, which is just a bit better than the Huawei P40's overall score of 86.4. Although Galaxy S6 is much older than Huawei P40, it's construction is somewhat thinner and much lighter. Both devices in this review use Android OS, but the Galaxy S6 has the older 5.0 version while Huawei P40 has Android 10.
The Galaxy S6 has a much better screen than Huawei P40, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch of screen and a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440. Samsung Galaxy S6 counts with a bit superior processing unit than Huawei P40, because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have 8 cores, the Samsung Galaxy S6 also counts with a graphics processing unit and a 64-bit processing unit.
The Huawei P40 takes much better photos and videos than Galaxy S6, and although they both have a same size aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Huawei P40 also has a much larger sensor, a back facing camera with lot more mega pixels and faster video frame rates. The Huawei P40 and the Galaxy S6 both feature very similar memory capacity for apps and games, both of them have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory.
Huawei P40 features a way better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S6, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity instead of 2550mAh.
Samsung Galaxy S6 costs a bit more money than Huawei P40, but you can get a better phone for that extra dollars.
