Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 5 III is a bit better than the Huawei P40, with a 90.5 score against 86.4. Both phones in this review include Android OS, but Sony Xperia 5 III has a more recent 11 version and Huawei P40 has Android 10 version. Sony Xperia 5 III's construction is newer, a little bit thinner and a little lighter than the Huawei P40.
The Xperia 5 III has a bit more vivid display than Huawei P40, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Xperia 5 III also has a little bit higher 1080 x 2520px resolution and a quite higher count of pixels per inch of screen. The Sony Xperia 5 III has a processor that is very similar to Huawei P40's processor, and although the Sony Xperia 5 III has a larger amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Huawei P40 captures much better photographs and videos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for shooting photos and video in low light situations and lower 60 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Huawei P40 also counts with a much bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels.
The Sony Xperia 5 III counts with a superior memory capacity to install applications and games than Huawei P40, because it has an external memory slot that admits up to 1 TB and 128 GB more internal memory. The Sony Xperia 5 III has a bit superior battery life than Huawei P40, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
