Comparison review
Huawei P40 has a general score of 86.4, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 8's general score of 83.3. These phones work with the same Android 10 OS (operating system). The Huawei P40 is a just a bit thicker cellphone than the Xiaomi Mi 8, but both of them have the same weight. Xiaomi Mi 8 features a little more vivid display than Huawei P40, because although it has a just a bit worse display density and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels, it also counts with a little bigger screen.
Xiaomi Mi 8's CPU is very similar to Huawei P40's CPU, both of them have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores. Huawei P40 takes much clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for taking images in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Huawei P40 also counts with a way more mega pixels back-facing camera, a much larger sensor taking much better quality photos and higher video frame rate.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a very superior storage to install games and applications than Huawei P40, because it has 128 GB more internal memory capacity. Huawei P40 counts with a little longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 3800mAh battery size.
