Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a score of 90.9, which is a lot better than the Huawei P9 Plus's 75.5 global score. Huawei Mate 40 Pro is a newer cellphone than Huawei P9 Plus, but it is extremely heavier and much thicker. Both phones in this review have Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate 40 Pro has older 10 version while Huawei P9 Plus has Android 7.0 Nougat.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a bit better CPU than Huawei P9 Plus, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a bit better looking display than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has a just a bit better display pixels density, a bigger display and a better resolution of 1334 x 2772 pixels.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a superior memory capacity to install applications and games than Huawei P9 Plus, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. Huawei Mate 40 Pro shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has a way higher video definition, a lot higher resolution back-facing camera, a lot larger sensor providing a way better image quality and a bigger aperture for better photography in low light situations.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with better battery duration than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity against 3400mAh.
