Comparison review
Huawei P40 is much better than the Huawei P9 Plus, with a overall score of 86.4 against 75.5. Both phones in our current comparison work with Android OS (operating system), but Huawei P40 has the previous 10 version while Huawei P9 Plus has Android 7.0 Nougat. The Huawei P40 body is noticeably newer, but a little heavier and somewhat thicker than the Huawei P9 Plus.
The Huawei P40 counts with a bit better performance than Huawei P9 Plus, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei P40 also has more RAM. Huawei P40 features a bit better looking display than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has a quite bigger display, a just a bit higher quantity of pixels per inch of display and a quite better 1080 x 2340 resolution.
The Huawei P40 captures greater photos and videos than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has a larger aperture to capture better photography and video in low light environments, a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a lot bigger sensor which provides a lot better photo and video quality and a back facing camera with way more mega-pixels.
The Huawei P9 Plus has just a bit more memory capacity for apps and games than Huawei P40, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with an external SD slot that holds up to 256 GB. Huawei P40 features just a little bit longer battery duration than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has a 3800mAh battery size.
