Comparison review
The Huawei P40 Lite has an overall score of 79.5, which is a bit better than the Huawei P9 Plus's general score of 75.5. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but the Huawei P40 Lite has an older 10 version while Huawei P9 Plus has Android 7.0 Nougat. Huawei P40 Lite is a notably newer cellphone than the Huawei P9 Plus, but it is thicker and heavier.
The Huawei P9 Plus features just a bit better hardware performance than Huawei P40 Lite, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Huawei P40 Lite counts with a display that's just as good as Huawei P9 Plus's display, because although the Huawei P40 Lite has a just a little lower display pixel density, it also counts with a larger display and a bit higher 1080 x 2310px resolution.
The Huawei P40 Lite shoots better videos and photos than Huawei P9 Plus, because although it has slower 30 frames per second video frame rate, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a larger camera aperture to take better low light photos, a much bigger back-facing camera sensor taking way better quality videos and photographs and a lot better resolution back facing camera.
Huawei P9 Plus has a little bit more storage for games and applications than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 256 GB. The Huawei P40 Lite counts with better battery life than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has a 24 percent more battery capacity.
