Comparison review
Huawei P40 Pro is much better than Huawei P9 Plus, with an 88.2 score against 75.5. Although the Huawei P40 Pro is much newer than Huawei P9 Plus, it's heavier and much thicker. Both of these devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei P40 Pro has 10 version and Huawei P9 Plus has Android 7.0 Nougat version.
Huawei P40 Pro has a slightly better looking screen than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has a just a little better pixels count per inch in the display, a larger display and a higher resolution of 1200 x 2640px. The Huawei P9 Plus features just a bit more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P40 Pro, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 256 GB.
The Huawei P40 Pro has a bit faster CPU than Huawei P9 Plus, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei P40 Pro also has more RAM. Huawei P40 Pro has superior battery duration than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity against 3400mAh. The Huawei P40 Pro captures way better pictures and videos than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has a lot higher 3840x2160 video resolution, a lot bigger back camera sensor, a much more megapixels camera and a larger diafragm aperture to take better images and videos in low light environments.
