The Samsung Galaxy A42 is better than the Huawei P9 Plus, with an 87 score against 75.5. Both phones in this comparison review use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has the previous 11 version and Huawei P9 Plus has Android 7.0 Nougat. Even though Samsung Galaxy A42 is extremely newer than Huawei P9 Plus, it is a lot thicker and somewhat heavier.
Huawei P9 Plus has just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A42. They have the same number of cores and a 4 GB RAM. The Huawei P9 Plus counts with a brighter display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a way better display pixel density and a better 1080 x 1920px resolution.
The Galaxy A42 counts with a much greater storage capacity to store more apps and games than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has 64 GB more internal storage capacity and a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 1000 GB.
