Comparison review
Galaxy Note8 has an overall score of 83, which is a little bit better than the Huawei P9 Plus's 75.5 global score. Even though Galaxy Note8 is newer than Huawei P9 Plus, it's somewhat heavier and way thicker. Both of these phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Note8 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei P9 Plus has Android 7.0 Nougat.
The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a little more vivid display than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has a way higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels, a little larger screen and a higher pixels density. Samsung Galaxy Note8's processing unit is just as good as the processor in Huawei P9 Plus, and although the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a higher amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
Galaxy Note8 and Huawei P9 Plus count with really similar storage to install games and applications, they have a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 256 GB and exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy Note8 captures slightly better photos and videos than Huawei P9 Plus, and although they both have a back camera with a 12 mega-pixels resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has a lot bigger aperture for better photos in poorly lited environments, a bigger back camera sensor and a much higher 3840x2160 video resolution.
Huawei P9 Plus has just a bit better battery duration than Galaxy Note8, because it has a 3400mAh battery capacity.
