Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a global score of 78.1, which is slightly better than the Huawei P9 Plus's global score of 75.5. These devices come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has the newer 8.0 Oreo version while Huawei P9 Plus has Android 7.0 Nougat version, so it counts with a couple additional features. Although the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and the Huawei P9 Plus were released with only a couple of months difference, the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge construction is a little bit thicker but just a little lighter than the Huawei P9 Plus.
The Huawei P9 Plus has a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Huawei P9 Plus also has a larger number of faster cores. The Galaxy S7 edge counts with a slightly better looking screen than Huawei P9 Plus, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Galaxy S7 edge also has a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px and a greater pixels density.
Huawei P9 Plus features a superior storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 64 GB internal storage and a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge shoots slightly better videos and photos than Huawei P9 Plus, and although they both have the same resolution back camera, the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge also has a way higher (4K) video resolution, a much bigger aperture and a larger back-facing camera sensor taking better quality videos and photographs.
Samsung Galaxy S7 edge features just a little better battery performance than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has a 6 percent bigger battery size.
