The Xiaomi Mi A3 has an overall score of 79.2, which is slightly better than Huawei P9 Plus's 75.5 global score. Both phones in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Mi A3 has the previous 11 version while Huawei P9 Plus has Android 7.0 Nougat version. Xiaomi Mi A3 is a much newer device than Huawei P9 Plus, although it is a little bit heavier and somewhat thicker.
The Huawei P9 Plus features a little better performance than Xiaomi Mi A3. Both have 4 GB of RAM and the same number of cores. The Huawei P9 Plus counts with a sharper display than Xiaomi Mi A3, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better pixels amount in each display inch and a higher resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
The Xiaomi Mi A3 counts with a much better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P9 Plus, and although they both have an external SD slot that supports up to 256 GB, the Xiaomi Mi A3 also has 128 GB internal memory. Xiaomi Mi A3 counts with longer battery lifetime than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has 4030mAh of battery capacity against 3400mAh.
Xiaomi Mi A3 features a greater camera than Huawei P9 Plus, because it has a much better (4K) video resolution, a camera with a lot higher 48 megapixels resolution, a larger aperture for better low-light photography and a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
