HTC One M9 is slightly better than the Huawei P9, having a general score of 77.7 against 72.9. Although HTC One M9 is a better cellphone than Huawei P9, we must note that it's also older, noticeably thicker and just a little heavier. HTC One M9 has a more vivid display than Huawei P9, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the HTC One M9 also counts with a little bit higher count of pixels per display inch.
The Huawei P9 features a bit more storage capacity for games and applications than HTC One M9, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage, the Huawei P9 also has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 256 GB. HTC One M9 has just a little better hardware performance than Huawei P9, and although they both have the same number of cores and the same RAM memory amount, the HTC One M9 also has an extra graphics co-processor and a 64-bit processor.
HTC One M9 shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Huawei P9, and although they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the HTC One M9 also has a way higher resolution back-facing camera, a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a larger back-facing camera sensor providing a better image quality.
Huawei P9 features a bit longer battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.
