The Huawei P40 Pro has an overall score of 88.2, which is a lot better than Huawei P9's score of 72.9. Huawei P40 Pro is a newer cellphone than Huawei P9, but it's noticeably heavier and notably thicker. The Huawei P40 Pro features a bit faster CPU than Huawei P9, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei P40 Pro also has 5 GB more RAM.
