Galaxy A7 (2017) has a global score of 75.8, which is a bit better than Huawei P9's global score of 72.9. Even though Galaxy A7 (2017) is newer than Huawei P9, it is somewhat thicker and heavier. Huawei P9 counts with a bit faster processor than Galaxy A7 (2017). They have the same number of cores and a 3 GB RAM memory.
The Huawei P9 has a slightly better display than Galaxy A7 (2017), because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 1920px resolution, the Huawei P9 also counts with a just a bit better pixel density.
