Comparison review
The Galaxy S9 is better than the Huawei P9, getting an 83.3 score against 72.9. Galaxy S9's construction is newer than Huawei P9's, although it's heavier and thicker. Galaxy S9 counts with a little better hardware performance than Huawei P9, and although they both have 8 cores, the Galaxy S9 also has a greater amount of RAM.
Galaxy S9 has a bit better screen than Huawei P9, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1440 x 2960, a quite larger screen and more pixels per display inch. The Samsung Galaxy S9 shoots much better photos and videos than Huawei P9, and although they both have a 12 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has a much larger diafragm aperture, a much higher 3840x2160 video resolution and a larger sensor.
Galaxy S9 counts with much more memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei P9, because it has an external memory card slot that allows up to 400 GB and 64 GB internal memory capacity. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Huawei P9 both have extremely similar batteries.
