Asus ROG Phone 8 is slightly better than the Huawei Y9 (2019), with a overall score of 79.5 against 73.5. The Asus ROG Phone 8 is a way newer phone than the Huawei Y9 (2019), but it is a bit thicker and way heavier. Both devices in this review use Android OS (operating system), but Asus ROG Phone 8 has an older 14 version while Huawei Y9 (2019) has Android 8.1 Oreo version.
Huawei Y9 (2019) has a much greater performance than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor. Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a sharper screen than Huawei Y9 (2019), because although it has a just a bit lower pixels density, it also counts with a little bit larger screen and a little bit higher 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 has much more memory to install games and applications than Huawei Y9 (2019), because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. Asus ROG Phone 8 takes much clearer videos and photos than Huawei Y9 (2019), because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for capturing photos or video in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a back facing camera with a way higher 50 megapixels resolution and a much higher 7680x4320 video quality.
Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a superior battery life than Huawei Y9 (2019), because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
