Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 lite is slightly better than Huawei Y9 (2019), getting a global score of 76.2 against 73.5. Although Huawei Mate 20 lite and Huawei Y9 (2019) were released with only a couple months difference, Huawei Mate 20 lite is a bit thinner and just a little lighter. Both of these phones work with the same Android 8.1 Oreo OS, so they should count with identical operating system features.
Huawei Mate 20 lite's processor is very similar to Huawei Y9 (2019)'s processing unit, both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and 8 cores. The Huawei Mate 20 lite has just a bit better looking display than Huawei Y9 (2019), because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 2340 resolution, the Huawei Mate 20 lite also counts with a quite greater pixels number per inch in the display.
The Huawei Mate 20 lite has more storage capacity for applications and games than Huawei Y9 (2019), and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Huawei Mate 20 lite also has a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 512 GB. Huawei Mate 20 lite captures clearer videos and photos than Huawei Y9 (2019), and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution and a same size aperture, the Huawei Mate 20 lite also has a much more mega pixels camera and better video frame rates.
The Huawei Y9 (2019) features just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 20 lite, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3750mAh.
