The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a bit better than the Huawei Y9 (2019), getting a global score of 78.7 against 73.5. Although the Huawei Mate 9 Pro is extremely older than Huawei Y9 (2019), it's construction is just a bit thinner and a little lighter. Both phones in this comparison review work with Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the older 8.0 Oreo version while Huawei Y9 (2019) has Android 8.1 Oreo.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a bit more vivid display than Huawei Y9 (2019), because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a greater pixel density and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a bit better processor than Huawei Y9 (2019), and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has more RAM.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro shoots slightly better pictures and videos than Huawei Y9 (2019), because although it has a back facing camera with a lower resolution and a tinier aperture which is not favorable for shooting photos or video in low-light situations, it also counts with a much better 3840x2160 video definition.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little bit better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei Y9 (2019), because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro's battery duration is just as good as the Huawei Y9 (2019) one.
