Both phones in this review have Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has an older 5.1 version while Huawei Y9 (2019) has Android 8.1 Oreo. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is an extremely older cellphone than the Huawei Y9 (2019), but Samsung managed to make it a bit lighter and just a bit thinner anyway.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 counts with a more vivid screen than Huawei Y9 (2019), because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a better pixels amount in each inch of screen. The Huawei Y9 (2019) counts with a much greater memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Huawei Y9 (2019) also has an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB.
The Huawei Y9 (2019) has a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Huawei Y9 (2019) also has a greater number of cores (and faster).
