Galaxy A42 has a general score of 87, which is a lot better than Kyocera DuraForce Ultra's 72.2 score. Both devices in this review come with Android OS, but Galaxy A42 has a more recent 11 version and Kyocera DuraForce Ultra has Android 10, so it provides you some additional features. Although the Galaxy A42 and Kyocera DuraForce Ultra were only released with a couple months difference, the Galaxy A42 is way lighter and extremely thinner.
Kyocera DuraForce Ultra counts with a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Kyocera DuraForce Ultra also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Kyocera DuraForce Ultra counts with a more vivid screen than Galaxy A42, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 1080 x 2160px and a much higher screen density.
The Kyocera DuraForce Ultra has a slightly bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy A42, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Kyocera DuraForce Ultra also has a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 1 TB. Samsung Galaxy A42 shoots a lot better pictures and videos than Kyocera DuraForce Ultra, and although they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has a way higher 48 megapixels resolution back camera.
Samsung Galaxy A42 features just a little bit longer battery performance than Kyocera DuraForce Ultra, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity instead of 4500mAh.
