Galaxy Note8 has an overall score of 83, which is better than the Kyocera DuraForce Ultra's 72.2 score. The Galaxy Note8 body is lighter and noticeably thinner than the Kyocera DuraForce Ultra, even though it was released many years before. These phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Note8 has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Kyocera DuraForce Ultra has Android 10 version, so it provides a couple nice extra features.
Galaxy Note8's processor is very similar to Kyocera DuraForce Ultra's processor, both of them have 6 GB of RAM memory and 8 CPU cores. Samsung Galaxy Note8 features a bit more vivid display than Kyocera DuraForce Ultra, because it has a better resolution of 1440 x 2960px, a just a bit greater amount of pixels in each inch in the display and a bit larger screen.
The Galaxy Note8 captures much better photographs and videos than Kyocera DuraForce Ultra, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 video resolution and a much less MP resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better low light captures. The Kyocera DuraForce Ultra has much more memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 1 TB and more internal storage.
Kyocera DuraForce Ultra features better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 36% more battery capacity.
