The HTC Explorer is a bit better than Kyocera Hydro, getting a global score of 46.4 against 44.3. HTC Explorer's design is a bit lighter but just a little bit thicker than the Kyocera Hydro, and both were released with only 7 months difference. Both of these phones have Android OS, but HTC Explorer has older 2.3 version while Kyocera Hydro has Android 4.0 version.

The Kyocera Hydro counts with a bit faster processor than HTC Explorer. They have 512 MB of RAM and a Single-Core processor.
