Comparison review

Xperia Z5 Premium is slightly better than the LG G3, with a 79.8 score against 76.4. The Xperia Z5 Premium body is newer and somewhat thinner, but also heavier than the LG G3. Both phones in this comparison review work with Android OS, but the Xperia Z5 Premium has a more recent 5.1 version while LG G3 has Android 5.0, so it counts with lots of additional features.

Xperia Z5 Premium features a slightly better display than LG G3, and although they both have a same size screen, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a much higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a better pixel amount per inch of display. Xperia Z5 Premium has just a bit more storage for games and applications than LG G3, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has an external SD slot that holds up to 200 GB.

LG G3 has just a little better processing power than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, although it has a lower number of cores (but faster), they both have a 450 MHz GPU and a 3 GB RAM. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a bit better battery duration than LG G3, because it has a 14% greater battery size.

Xperia Z5 Premium shoots better pictures and videos than LG G3, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same video definition, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a lot bigger aperture, a back camera with a lot higher 23 mega-pixels resolution and a much bigger back-facing camera sensor taking way higher quality photos and videos.

Although Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than LG G3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as LG G3. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the LG G3, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
