Both phones in this review use Android operating system, but the Xperia 1 III has the older 11 version while LG G3 Cat. 6 has Android 4.4.2. Although Xperia 1 III is somewhat heavier than the LG G3 Cat. 6, it's somewhat thinner and also newer.
LG G3 Cat. 6 has a bit better looking display than Sony Xperia 1 III, although it has a way worse resolution of 2560 x 1440px, a little bit worse display density and a little bit smaller screen. Xperia 1 III has a little better processing power than LG G3 Cat. 6, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with a higher number of cores and more RAM memory.
Xperia 1 III shoots much better videos and photos than LG G3 Cat. 6, although it has a lower 12 MP resolution back camera. Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a way bigger memory to install games and applications than LG G3 Cat. 6, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal memory capacity.
The Xperia 1 III has a much longer battery duration than LG G3 Cat. 6, because it has a 4500mAh battery size against 3000mAh.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than LG G3 Cat. 6, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG G3 Cat. 6. If you want to save some money, you can get the LG G3 Cat. 6, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
