The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) is a little bit better than LG G5, getting a score of 77.4 against 76.1. Even though the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) is a lot newer than LG G5, it's thicker and a bit heavier. Both of these phones use Android OS, but Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a newer 9.0 Pie version while LG G5 has Android 8.0 Oreo version.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a little faster processor than LG G5, because it has 2 GB more RAM and more 2.2 gigahertz cores. LG G5 counts with a little bit better looking display than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a higher pixel density.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) counts with a much greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than LG G5, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 1,95 TB, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) also has 96 GB more internal storage capacity. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) features a really longer battery lifetime than LG G5, because it has a 5000mAh battery size against 2800mAh.

LG G5 has a bit better camera than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), and although they both have a F1.8 camera aperture, the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the LG G5 also has a larger back camera sensor which provides a higher image and video quality and a back-facing camera with a much better 16 megapixels resolution.
