Comparison review

HTC One M9 has a global score of 77.7, which is a little bit better than LG G5's score of 76.1. Both phones we are comparing use Android OS, but HTC One M9 has an older 5.0 version and LG G5 has Android 8.0 Oreo. The HTC One M9 is an older and much thicker cellphone than the LG G5, but HTC was able to build it a little lighter anyway.

HTC One M9 features a bit more vivid display than LG G5, although it has a lot worse resolution of 1920 x 1080, a bit smaller screen and a just a little worse amount of pixels per screen inch. The LG G5 has a lot bigger memory for applications and games than HTC One M9, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage, the LG G5 also has a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB.

HTC One M9 counts with a more powerful processor than LG G5, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a higher number of cores , a 64-bits processing unit and a GPU. The HTC One M9 counts with a battery life that's very similar to the LG G5 one, although the HTC One M9 also has 2840mAh of battery capacity.

The HTC One M9 captures clearer photos and videos than LG G5, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for taking pictures or video in low-light environments, and they both have the same video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the HTC One M9 also counts with a bigger sensor taking higher quality photographs and videos and a camera with a better 20 MP resolution.

Despite of being the best phone in our comparison, HTC One M9 is also by far the cheapest one.
