Comparison review
Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a little bit better than the LG G5, having a 78.7 score against 76.1. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro design is newer than the LG G5's, but it is just a little bit heavier and a little thicker. These phones include the same Android 8.0 Oreo OS. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little faster CPU than LG G5, because it has a higher number of cores and more RAM memory.
The LG G5 and the Huawei Mate 9 Pro have incredibly similar displays, because although the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little bit worse number of pixels per inch of display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, it also counts with a quite bigger screen. LG G5 features much more memory capacity for apps and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1,95 TB.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a much better battery lifetime than LG G5, because it has a 43% larger battery size. LG G5 has a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same (4K) video quality, the LG G5 also has a bigger camera sensor providing a better image quality, a bigger aperture for better low-light photos and a much more mega pixels back facing camera.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than LG G5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the LG G5. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, else you can save some money and get the LG G5, resigning a couple features and specs.
