Huawei Mate X has a global score of 89.4, which is much better than LG G5's 76.1 general score. Both of these phones come with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate X has 9.0 Pie version while LG G5 has Android 8.0 Oreo version, so it gives you lots of additional features. The Huawei Mate X construction is noticeably newer, but incredibly heavier and notably thicker than the LG G5.
The Huawei Mate X features a bit more powerful processor than LG G5, because it has a higher number of faster cores and a greater amount of RAM. LG G5 features a little bit better display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a way smaller display and a little lower resolution of 1440 x 2560px, it also counts with a greater pixel density.
Huawei Mate X features a superior storage capacity for games and applications than LG G5, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 480 GB more internal storage. LG G5 features a much better camera than Huawei Mate X, although it has a much tinier sensor and a much less MP back camera, they both have a same size camera aperture.
The Huawei Mate X has a way better battery duration than LG G5, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the LG G5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as LG G5. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the LG G5, letting go some specifications.
