LG G8S ThinQ has a score of 82.5, which is slightly better than the LG G5's score of 76.1. Both of these phones come with Android OS, but the LG G8S ThinQ has the newer 9.0 Pie version and LG G5 has Android 8.0 Oreo version, so it gives some extra features. LG G8S ThinQ's design is way newer, but heavier and a little thicker than LG G5.
The LG G5 has a slightly better display than LG G8S ThinQ, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 resolution and a higher pixel count per inch of display. The LG G8S ThinQ has a much better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than LG G5, and although they both have an external memory card slot that supports up to 1,95 TB, the LG G8S ThinQ also has 96 GB more internal storage capacity.
LG G8S ThinQ features just a little better performance than LG G5, because it has a greater number of cores (and faster) and a higher amount of RAM memory. The LG G8S ThinQ counts with improved battery duration than LG G5, because it has a 3550mAh battery capacity. LG G5 features just a bit better camera than LG G8S ThinQ, because although it has worse video frame rate, and they both have a same size camera aperture and the same (4K) video resolution, the LG G5 also counts with a back facing camera with lot more MP.
