LG V30S ThinQ has a global score of 82.5, which is slightly better than the LG G5's overall score of 76.1. LG V30S ThinQ is a just a little bit lighter phone than the LG G5, but they are equally thin. Both of these phones work with the same Android 8.0 Oreo OS, so both should provide the user identical operating system features.
LG V30S ThinQ counts with a display that's just as good as the display in LG G5, because although the LG V30S ThinQ has a just a bit worse display pixels density, it also counts with a bit larger display and a quite better 1440 x 2880 pixels resolution. The LG V30S ThinQ has just a little better processing power than LG G5, because it has 4 more processing cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.
LG G5 takes slightly better videos and photos than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not good for capturing photos or video in low light environments, and they both have the same video quality, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and a back camera with a 16 megapixels, the LG G5 also counts with a bigger back camera sensor.
The LG V30S ThinQ has a much greater storage for games and applications than LG G5, and although they both have an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB, the LG V30S ThinQ also has 128 GB internal storage. LG V30S ThinQ counts with improved battery lifetime than LG G5, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity against 2800mAh.
Although LG V30S ThinQ is a better device, it is way more expensive than the LG G5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the LG G5. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the LG G5, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
