The Moto Z3 Play has a general score of 76.3, which is a bit better than LG G5's general score of 76.1. Moto Z3 Play's construction is a lot newer, a bit thinner and just a bit lighter than LG G5. LG G5 has a bit better display than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater screen density and a better 1440 x 2560 resolution.
LG G5 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Moto Z3 Play, although it has 4 lesser cpu cores , they both have 4 GB of RAM. The Moto Z3 Play features more storage capacity to install applications and games than LG G5, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB, the Moto Z3 Play also has 64 GB internal memory.
Motorola Moto Z3 Play features a little longer battery lifetime than LG G5, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity against 2800mAh. The LG G5 takes a bit better videos and photos than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor capturing lower quality images and a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for shooting pictures or videos in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the LG G5 also counts with a much more mega pixels back-facing camera.
The Moto Z3 Play costs a little more money than the LG G5, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
