The Galaxy Alpha has a general score of 76.3, which is slightly better than the LG G5's 76.1 overall score. The Galaxy Alpha body is thinner and a lot lighter than the LG G5. These phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Alpha has older 4.4.4 version while LG G5 has Android 8.0 Oreo version.

The Galaxy Alpha counts with a bit superior CPU than LG G5, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Alpha also counts with a GPU. LG G5 features a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a lot higher 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, a much greater pixels density and a little bit larger display.

The LG G5 features much more storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage capacity, the LG G5 also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. LG G5 has just a bit better camera than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the LG G5 also has a camera with a way better 16 MP resolution and a larger diafragm aperture for better photography and video in low light situations.
