Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a score of 85.7, which is much better than LG G5's general score of 76.1. Both devices we compare here include Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has the older 5.0 version and LG G5 has Android 8.0 Oreo. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge design is somewhat lighter and a little thinner than the LG G5, despite of the fact that it was released about 12 months before.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a more vivid screen than LG G5, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 2560 x 1440, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with a just a bit higher number of pixels in each inch in the display. The LG G5 features a lot bigger storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has only 32 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a better CPU than LG G5, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a 64 bits processor, 4 more cores (although they are slower) and an additional graphics processor. The LG G5 has a bit superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has 2800mAh of battery capacity.
The LG G5 counts with a superior camera than Galaxy S6 Edge, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition, a 0.38 inches sensor, the same video frame rates and a same resolution back-facing camera, the LG G5 also has a larger diafragm aperture to take better low light images and videos.
The Galaxy S6 Edge is a lot more expensive than LG G5, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
