Comparison review

The Galaxy S7 edge has a global score of 78.1, which is just a bit better than the LG G5's general score of 76.1. Both phones in our current comparison use the same Android 8.0 Oreo OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding operating system features. Galaxy S7 edge's body is just a little thicker but just a little bit lighter than LG G5, and they were released with only a few months difference.

The LG G5 features just a bit better display than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1440 x 2560 resolution, the LG G5 also counts with a just a little greater display density. The Galaxy S7 edge features a CPU that is very similar to the CPU in LG G5, both have 4 processing cores and the same RAM amount.

LG G5 counts with a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the LG G5 also has an external memory slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. The LG G5 features a little bit better camera than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for capturing pictures in low-light environments and a tinier back-facing camera sensor taking less light and duller colors, and they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the LG G5 also counts with a camera with a much better 16 mega-pixels resolution.

The Galaxy S7 edge has improved battery performance than LG G5, because it has a 29 percent larger battery size.

Even being the best phone in our current comparison, Galaxy S7 edge is also by far the cheapest.
