Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is slightly better than the LG G5, having an 81.9 score against 76.1. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's design is newer, but heavier and noticeably thicker than the LG G5. Galaxy S8 Active has a bit sharper display than LG G5, because it has a little bit higher 1440 x 2960 resolution, a little bit more pixels per screen inch and a bit bigger display.
LG G5 features a quite bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 1,95 TB. The Galaxy S8 Active counts with a bit faster processor than LG G5, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Galaxy S8 Active also has a greater number of cores (and they are faster).
The Galaxy S8 Active has a much better battery life than LG G5, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity. LG G5 has a bit better camera than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a tinier aperture and a smaller camera sensor giving a worse image quality, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rate, the LG G5 also counts with a camera with way more megapixels.
Despite of being the best phone between the ones we are comparing here, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is also very cheap compared to the other ones, making it a great choice.
