Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 1 has a global score of 82.6, which is a little bit better than the LG G5's 76.1 score. Even though Sony Xperia 1 is noticeably newer than the LG G5, it is somewhat heavier and a little bit thicker. Xperia 1 features a bit better hardware performance than LG G5, because it has more CPU cores and a higher amount of RAM.

The Xperia 1 features a little bit better display than LG G5, because it has a just a bit greater pixels amount per inch in the display, a better 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution and a bigger display. The LG G5 shoots clearer videos and photos than Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for capturing images or videos in low-light situations, and they both have a same size back camera sensor and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the LG G5 also counts with a back camera with way more mega pixels and higher 30 fps video frame rate.

The Xperia 1 has a quite bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than LG G5, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage capacity. The Xperia 1 counts with longer battery performance than LG G5, because it has a 3330mAh battery size.

Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the LG G5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the LG G5. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy LG G5, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
