Comparison review

The LG G8 ThinQ is a bit better than the LG G7 ThinQ, having a global score of 84.3 against 81. LG G8 ThinQ's body is newer, but just a little thicker and a little bit heavier than LG G7 ThinQ. These devices come with the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't see any difference in that aspect.

The LG G8 ThinQ counts with a bit more powerful processor than LG G7 ThinQ, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a higher amount of RAM. The LG G7 ThinQ counts with a little bit better looking display than LG G8 ThinQ, and although they both have a screen of the same size, a greater pixels amount in each display inch and exactly the same resolution of 1440 x 3120px, the LG G7 ThinQ also has a much brighter screen.

The LG G7 ThinQ captures clearer photographs and videos than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a smaller sensor which offers a lower photo and video quality and a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for low light images, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same 60 frames per second video frame rate, the LG G7 ThinQ also counts with a camera in the back with a lot higher 16 megapixels resolution.

The LG G8 ThinQ features a better memory capacity for applications and games than LG G7 ThinQ, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB, the LG G8 ThinQ also has 128 GB internal memory capacity. LG G8 ThinQ has just a little better battery life than LG G7 ThinQ, because it has a 17 percent larger battery capacity.

Although LG G8 ThinQ is a better device, it costs more money than LG G7 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG G7 ThinQ. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy LG G8 ThinQ, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the LG G7 ThinQ, giving up some features and specs.
