LG Velvet is slightly better than the LG G7 ThinQ, having an 87.1 score against 81. LG Velvet is a somewhat heavier phone than LG G7 ThinQ, but both of them are 0.31inches thick. LG G7 ThinQ counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than LG Velvet, although it has 2 GB less RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor.

LG G7 ThinQ counts with a much better screen than LG Velvet, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a higher display density and a higher resolution of 1440 x 3120px. The LG Velvet counts with a better storage to install games and applications than LG G7 ThinQ, and although they both have a SD extension slot that holds up to 1,95 TB, the LG Velvet also has 128 GB internal storage.

LG Velvet shoots much better videos and photos than LG G7 ThinQ, because although it has lower 30 fps video frame rates and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for capturing images and videos in low light situations, and they both have the same video resolution, the LG Velvet also counts with a way larger camera sensor shooting much better quality photographs and videos and a lot more MP back facing camera.

The LG Velvet features a way better battery life than LG G7 ThinQ, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.

Although LG Velvet is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the LG G7 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG G7 ThinQ. If you prefer to save some money, you can get the LG G7 ThinQ, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
