The LG G7 ThinQ is just a bit better than Galaxy A40, with an 81 score against 79.6. These phones come with Android OS (operating system), but the LG G7 ThinQ has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy A40 has Android 11, so it provides you a couple additional features. LG G7 ThinQ's body has the same thickness than Galaxy A40, but it's heavier.

LG G7 ThinQ has a bit better performance than Galaxy A40. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores. The LG G7 ThinQ counts with a sharper screen than Galaxy A40, because it has a higher 1440 x 3120 resolution, a higher quantity of pixels per inch in the screen and a little larger screen.

The LG G7 ThinQ takes clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy A40, because although it has a tinier sensor which gives a lower photo and video quality, and they both have a camera with a 16 mega-pixels resolution, the LG G7 ThinQ also counts with a larger camera aperture and a much better 3840x2160 video quality.

LG G7 ThinQ counts with a way bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy A40, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the LG G7 ThinQ also has an external SD slot that admits up to 1,95 TB. Samsung Galaxy A40 has a little better battery duration than LG G7 ThinQ, because it has 3100mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
