LG G8 ThinQ is just a bit better than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, having a score of 84.3 against 78.7. Both of these phones have Android OS (operating system), but the LG G8 ThinQ has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version, so it gives some nice extra features and performance optimizations. The LG G8 ThinQ is a notably newer and just a little bit lighter cellphone than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, although it's also just a bit thicker.

LG G8 ThinQ counts with a bit more vivid display than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a bit higher pixel density, a slightly higher resolution of 1440 x 3120 and a little bit larger display. The LG G8 ThinQ counts with a little faster processor than Huawei Mate 9 Pro. Both have 6 GB of RAM and 8 cpu cores.

LG G8 ThinQ captures slightly better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a 12 mega pixels back-facing camera and the same (4K) video quality, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a lot bigger camera aperture to capture better low light photography, faster 60 frames per second video frame rate and a larger sensor providing a better image quality.

LG G8 ThinQ counts with a much bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 1,95 TB. Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with just a little bit longer battery performance than LG G8 ThinQ, because it has a 14% larger battery capacity.
