The LG G8 ThinQ has an overall score of 84.3, which is much better than LG G5's global score of 76.1. Although LG G8 ThinQ is much newer than LG G5, it's a bit heavier and thicker. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but the LG G8 ThinQ has the newer 9.0 Pie version and LG G5 has Android 8.0 Oreo version.

The LG G8 ThinQ has a little sharper screen than LG G5, because it has a larger screen, a slightly higher 1440 x 3120px resolution and a just a bit greater pixel count in each inch of display. The LG G8 ThinQ has a much bigger memory for applications and games than LG G5, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB, the LG G8 ThinQ also has 128 GB internal memory.
