Comparison review
The LG G8 ThinQ has an overall score of 84.3, which is just a bit better than the LG V40 ThinQ's score of 81.2. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but LG G8 ThinQ has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while LG V40 ThinQ has Android 10. Although LG G8 ThinQ and LG V40 ThinQ were only released 6 months apart, the LG G8 ThinQ design is just a little thicker but also a little bit lighter than LG V40 ThinQ.
The LG V40 ThinQ's processing unit is very similar to LG G8 ThinQ's processing unit, both have the same RAM memory amount and 8 processing cores. The LG G8 ThinQ has a bit better display than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1440 x 3120px, the LG G8 ThinQ also counts with a little bit higher screen pixels density.
The LG V40 ThinQ shoots a bit better videos and photos than LG G8 ThinQ. They have the same back-facing camera sensor size, the same 60 frames per second video frame rates, a camera in the back with a 12 mega pixels resolution, the same diafragm aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality. The LG G8 ThinQ has a greater storage for apps and games than LG V40 ThinQ, and although they both have a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB, the LG G8 ThinQ also has 128 GB internal storage.
LG G8 ThinQ features a bit superior battery lifetime than LG V40 ThinQ, because it has a 6% more battery size.
LG G8 ThinQ costs a little more than LG V40 ThinQ, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
