LG G8 ThinQ has an overall score of 84.3, which is a bit better than the Motorola Edge 40 Neo's overall score of 77. LG G8 ThinQ's construction is just a bit lighter than the Motorola Edge 40 Neo, although it's just a little bit thicker and was released 5 years before. Both devices in this review have Android OS (operating system), but the LG G8 ThinQ has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Motorola Edge 40 Neo has Android 13, so it offers a couple nice extra features and improved performance.

LG G8 ThinQ counts with a much better performing CPU than Motorola Edge 40 Neo, although it has 2 GB less RAM, they both have 8 CPU cores. The LG G8 ThinQ counts with a bit sharper display than Motorola Edge 40 Neo, because although it has a quite smaller screen and much worse brightness, it also counts with a better 1440 x 3120 resolution and a better pixel density.

Motorola Edge 40 Neo has a superior camera than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for low-light photos and video and worse video frame rates, and they both have the same video definition, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo also counts with a camera with a lot better resolution and a much larger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.

The LG G8 ThinQ features a very superior memory to store more games and applications than Motorola Edge 40 Neo, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. Motorola Edge 40 Neo counts with a very superior battery performance than LG G8 ThinQ, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 3500mAh.
