LG G8 ThinQ's body is newer than the Moto Z2 Play's, although it's noticeably thicker and heavier. The LG G8 ThinQ has just a little better performance than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have the same number of cores, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a greater amount of RAM memory.

The LG G8 ThinQ counts with a more vivid screen than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because it has a higher pixels density, a bit larger screen and a much higher resolution of 1440 x 3120. The LG G8 ThinQ features a quite bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB, the LG G8 ThinQ also has 128 GB internal storage.

LG G8 ThinQ features a bit longer battery life than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh. LG G8 ThinQ has a little bit better camera than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have the same resolution back-facing camera and the same video resolution, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a larger camera aperture to capture better low light images and videos and higher video frame rate.
