Samsung Galaxy A42 has a score of 87, which is a bit better than LG G8 ThinQ's 84.3 overall score. Samsung Galaxy A42's design is newer than LG G8 ThinQ's, although it's just a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier. Both devices in our current comparison include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy A42 has the previous 11 version while LG G8 ThinQ has Android 9.0 Pie version.
LG G8 ThinQ counts with an incredibly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much better 1440 x 3120px resolution and a way greater amount of pixels per inch in the screen. The LG G8 ThinQ counts with just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have 8 cores, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
Samsung Galaxy A42 features just a bit better camera than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for low light images and video and slower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also counts with a camera in the back with much more megapixels.
The LG G8 ThinQ has a greater memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy A42, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Galaxy A42 counts with a very superior battery performance than LG G8 ThinQ, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity against 3500mAh.
