The LG G8 ThinQ is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, getting an 84.3 score against 76.3. Despite being the best phone in this comparison review, LG G8 ThinQ's design is notably thicker and a lot heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. Both of these phones have Android OS (operating system), but the LG G8 ThinQ has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4 version, providing the user some nice extra features.

The LG G8 ThinQ counts with a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a much greater pixel density, a bigger screen and a way higher resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. LG G8 ThinQ counts with a bit better processing power than Galaxy Alpha, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a larger number of cores and 4 GB more RAM memory.

LG G8 ThinQ has a lot bigger storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 1,95 TB and 128 GB internal memory. LG G8 ThinQ has a little bit better camera than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same resolution back camera and the same (4K) video resolution, the LG G8 ThinQ also has higher 60 fps video frame rate and a much larger camera aperture to take better photography in poorly lited situations.

LG G8 ThinQ has a superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity.
