Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy M40 has a score of 85, which is a little bit better than the LG G8 ThinQ's global score of 84.3. Both phones in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy M40 has 10 version while LG G8 ThinQ has Android 9.0 Pie. Samsung Galaxy M40's construction is just a little heavier but a bit thinner than the LG G8 ThinQ, and they were only released with a few months difference.

The LG G8 ThinQ counts with just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy M40. Both have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processor. The LG G8 ThinQ has a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1440 x 3120 and more pixels per inch of display.

The LG G8 ThinQ features a lot bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy M40, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 1,95 TB. The LG G8 ThinQ and the Galaxy M40 count with incredibly similar battery performance.

Samsung Galaxy M40 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor capturing lower quality videos and images, slower 30 frames per second video frame rates and a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for shooting pictures or videos in low light environments, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also counts with a way more mega pixels back-facing camera.
